From the early days of Love Like Ky, we knew our primary aim needed to be on making sure that all community members had access to mental health resources and education. We are excited to announce two solid programs to kick-off our first winter. The Mtn Strong Tour across mountain towns in the West, where we will also deliver our educational piece through our partnership with benice.org.

Our Mountain Mental Health Awareness Tour brings resources and support directly to mountain communities, focusing on unique mental health needs in remote areas. This tour offers workshops, presentations, and open discussions to raise awareness, promote resilience, and reduce stigma around mental health. Through these stops, we connect with local residents, sharing essential tools for fostering a mentally healthy community in the heart of the mountains.
We've already garnered the support from many awesome brands and companies, and the list is continuing to grow!
We are excited to announce our new educational partner - benice.org.
Founded in 2010, their organization provides evidenced based suicide prevention education. This program equips individuals in schools, businesses, faith institutions, and teams with the knowledge and confidence to take action when it comes to mental health.
When used effectively, the be nice. action plan - to notice, invite, challenge, and empower - encourages individuals to challenge themselves and others to seek appropriate professional help when they notice mental health changes or concerns.
notice what is right and good about someone so you can notice when something is different about the way that person is thinking, acting, or feeling- their mental health!
Involves taking a risk and reaching out. If you notice changes lasting two weeks or longer, it’s time to invite yourself to check in with that person or open up to someone you trust if you are personally struggling.
The challenge step takes on a number of roles; challenge the stigma surrounding mental illness and treatment, challenge yourself or an individual to get help, and challenge yourself to ask the tough questions.
empower yourself and others with the knowledge that YOU can have an effect on how a person thinks, acts, and feels. be empowered with the knowledge that there are resources to help and there is always hope.
